Counselling Psychologist
Prisha Anand is a Counselling Psychologist with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. She believes that having a safe space to talk, feel understood, and make sense of what you’re going through can be the first step towards feeling better.
With clinical experience in de-addiction and rehabilitation settings, Prisha has gained supervised experience working with individuals experiencing substance-use concerns through case history taking, MSE, counselling, group sessions, psychoeducation, and relapse-prevention-oriented interventions. Her approach to addiction care is empathetic and non-judgmental, with a focus on motivation for change, emotional regulation, healthier coping, and sustainable recovery.
Her Approach
Prisha believes that therapy begins with feeling heard and understood. She takes a warm, empathetic, and collaborative approach, creating a safe space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, she believes therapy should be adapted to the person sitting across from her. Her goal is to help clients understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and interpersonal patterns while developing practical skills to manage distress and navigate everyday challenges.
Her clinical training includes case history taking, Mental Status Examination, psychological assessment, case formulation, psychoeducation, counselling, and supervised therapeutic interventions. She has gained exposure to CBT, REBT, DBT-informed skills, MET, mindfulness-based interventions, supportive therapy, behavioural approaches, and person-centred counselling.
Education & Clinical Training
Prisha holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Clinical Psychology from Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, following her undergraduate education in Liberal Arts, with a major in Psychology and minor in Sociology, from FLAME University.
Her additional training includes certification courses such as Suicide Prevention and Gatekeeper Training (NIMHANS), Basic First Aid (St. John’s Medical College Hospital), and Grief & Bereavement Counselling, complementing her clinical training with skills relevant to crisis support, emotional wellbeing, and client care.

Her Philosophy
Prisha believes that therapy begins with feeling heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. She strives to create a warm and safe space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace.
Her role is not to provide all the answers, but to walk alongside her clients as they understand themselves better, develop healthier coping strategies, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence. She believes that meaningful change grows through trust, collaboration, and small, consistent steps forward.
